What is the attraction for you of creating illustration? “The attraction of creating an illustration for me is being able to create my own world and visual language. Whether it be rendering a fictional land or having my characters (Weebees) facing difficult truths, I get to extend myself in ways I find difficult in other mediums.”

Sky Welkin is an American illustrator and artist based in Colorado. Fondness for the work of cartoonists and comic books led him to pursue a career in illustration. Since expanding his themes and fictional world, he has partnered with his friend and former co-worker Zeke Kenebrew to establish Sky Welkin as a brand. He says the foundation of his art “rests on the pillars of originality, truth and perspective”. His comic, Weebees, contains “jovial themes of continuum, reason and evolution”.
