With so many magazines going digital these days, how and why do you think that printed publications might still survive? “I don’t think that you can compare the two. Printed publications are more approachable for everyone, while buying a digital magazine only appeals to people who already know the magazine. Printed publication has the ability to convince you on the spot: the smell of freshly printed-paper, the touch, special formats. And collectability: I just love to have my shelves filled with all different kinds of books and magazines.”

Studio Stubbs is a playful graphic-design and illustration studio creating holistic visual solutions for clients across disciplines. Helping people to tell their visual story by developing everything from logos to websites, it is “in love with typography, plants, lists, the sea, illustrating, photography, polaroid, architecture, Nature, good coffee, great pie and positive energy”.
