Thomas Serrière — Marseille, France

“Marseille is now bound to a new political entity: Aix-Marseille-Provence Métropole. It needs an outstanding way-finding system, dedicated to a more human and civic use of its public space. I would love to be involved with a multi-diciplinary team to design a comprehensive and beautiful signage programme for this new metropolis. I would utilise my graphic expertise along with local architects, urban planners, artists and designers. It could start with a single signage programme applied to the most touristic areas of Marseille, and spread to other areas of the metropolis, providing a sense of pride and unity.”

Thomas Serrière graduated from Ecole Estienne and Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, and has accumulated 20 years of work experience, specialising in identity and signage systems, and strategic visual communication. He was creative director for MP2013, European Capital Of Culture. Since then, he has been freelancing for cultural and corporate entities.
