What makes a good promotional design? “The attention span on the receiving end is usually short, so promotional design should have something to it – visually or conceptual – that grabs that attention and sparks curiosity. This could, of course, be something bold and different, but could also be minor details, stepping slightly outside known or expected formats. It’s important to display some of your skills in the self-promotion package, but I also believe it’s crucial to showcase some of your personality. Also, never underestimate adding a slight touch of humour to the mix.”

Vidar is a versatile graphic designer and experienced project manager who has gone freelance to pursue his own ideas. A devil for the little details, he enjoys experimenting within a variety of creative fields and prefers to explore concepts that highlight the solution from a different perspective.
