“Print still offers a number of effects, processes and values that simply cannot be authentically replicated through digital means; the layering of inks, the embossing, folding, tactility and structural qualities of paper (or other substrate), material ownership, exclusivity through limited print runs and arguably a higher level of intimacy with the viewer. Creating a poster with print offers an opportunity to showcase traditional craftsmanship, utilise physical machinery and offer a more sensual experience to the beholder. So long as the impact of print differs to that of digital, print will always be valuable.”
