“We are very proud of Quarantype, a collection of 10 free typefaces we designed in just three weeks, at the start of the Covid-19 lockdown. Like everybody else at the time, we felt a lot of anxiety and decided to translate it into a set of fonts that would spread good vibes, a sort of typographic antidote to the virus. We got lovely feedback from the community, with our fonts appearing in ‘stay home’ posters and being reviewed by magazines such as Eye and Print and influencers such as Typewolf.”

Zetafonts is a digital type foundry based in Florence, with 20 years of art direction and branding experience behind it in the person of founders Francesco Canovaro, Debora Manetti and Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini. They aim to bridge the gap between the practical and the beautiful, providing typefaces that are finely crafted and innovative yet solid and affordable. Its cultural mission is to “bridge the Italian typographic tradition and contemporary trends, to meet the needs of brand designers and managers in a connected, multicultural world”.
