Atelier d’Alves — Porto, Portugal

Name an existing works that you would like to re-design editorially? “The Bible! The Bible was definitely the book that was the starting point of editorial design, where a structure serves the content along so many pages and texts. We really would like to go ‘back to the basics’ and design a Bible with the purest and most simple editorial design, where we could just work the black texts and use the full potential of the typography and the rhythm of a grid.”

Atelier d’Alves is a studio based in the city of Oporto since 2013. Working mainly in the field of culture, it has specialised in the creation of posters and editorial projects. “The transversality of processes and dialogue are a common link that culminate in the consolidation of a philosophy and processes of experimentation in the approach to each project.”
