For the second year of its Guest Country initiative, London Design Fair presents a coast-to-coast overview of contemporary American design today, with a special exhibition showcasing the work of 14 emerging and established US talents. Curated by Jill Singer and Monica Khemsurov, founders of Stateside web magazine Sight Unseen and the brains behind the roving Site Unseen OFFSITE design fairs, the Assembly pavilion presents a hand-picked selection of independent studios and rare, luxury and innovative objects spanning numerous design disciplines. With no other exhibition during London Design Festival offering such a wide-ranging spectrum of American design, Assembly provides a unique opportunity to uncover the breadth of US design talent, and catch a glimpse of the concepts, materials and thinking currently shaping the country’s contemporary creative scene.
