12 Collective plates are characterized by their contemporary design with Cypriot tradition acting as inspiration. The design was printed on melamine plates which are re-usable, microwave and dishwasher safe and do not break. The packaging was created to resemble a bag with the plate design visible from its open sides. The packaging is hand-cut. The initial idea behind their design was the obsession of older generations to collect Cypriot traditional objects and put them in display cabinets to ensure that they would not break and that the tradition would not be lost. The duo thus made these plates which do not break and therefore the tradition is kept.
