When you are pushing design and creativity boundaries, working with any material has its challenges. Sometimes the subtleties of a brilliant design do not translate well from mock-ups to full production runs. To pick one material, I would say sealed air-pouch packaging is especially tricky because design considerations need to allow for eventual visual distortions inherent to most shrink-wrap materials. However, more often than not, it’s the production budget that has the most impact on material and design decisions!”
