Gätjens does not see himself purely as a giver of form, but aims to include a little innovation in every design.
Jörg Gätjens, born in Duisburg in 1965, studied industrial design in Hanover, then spent five years as a design manager for Nils-Holger Moormann’s Aschau company. For Moormann — renowned as a specialist in simple things that are hard to make — Gatjens supervised the development of diverse products and was usually responsible for the entire process, from giving the product a name all the way through to publicity.
