What is the biggest challenge you face while working on window-display design? “To capture and realise an idea. For me, window designing is about capturing the perfect balancing point to successfully convey the product value while maintaining my own design language, expressing my feelings towards this object. After that, I will have to realise the fantastic, sometimes even crazy, design idea within the budget.”

The designer Zhou Rui attained her master’s degree in design management from the University of Southampton (UK). She has six years of creative-design experience in the fields of new retail, shopping malls, event agencies, luxury goods, design curation, etc.
She worked as a designer in The Mix-Place, an experimental live-retail space in Shanghai, in charge of window display, visual merchandising, graphic design and exhibition design.
