Tomio Koyama Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of an American artist James Castle (1899 – 1977) at their new space in Sendagaya, Tokyo. Castle’s work has been included in landmark surveys and has received more and more attention. His work is included in the current exhibition “America Is Hard To See” at Whitney Museum. The exhibition is the first solo presentation of the artist in Japan, featuring around 30 important works on paper as well as a collage work.
